White Gas in Cigarette Lighter?

Is it safe to use white gas (the stuff I use in my Sigg stove) in a cigarette lighter? Smells the same, costs about 10% of what the stuff sold specifically for lighters costs - and I think they are both naptha compounds - but I just don't want to have my lighter explode. Or ruin it. Anyone have the definitive answer?

It's also way smelly. :thumbdn:

Your stove mixes it with air and burns it very completely so it doesn't smell, but a lighter doesn't work that way.
