Have a Puma White Hunter that has been roughly sharpened and scratched. Any suggestion regarding where to have some restoration done? Thoughts if I should even go this route or just use and enjoy the knife. I bought it for my Dad so it has value for me and I do like the knife.

Thanks

It's hard to remove deep scratches. Basically start with a rough grit sandpaper, always sand the length of the blade, use a block for the flats, and move up in grit until you get the polish you want.

Pumas, if really old, may be worth more w/o restoration. If you plan on using it, I'd just use some Flitz for the surface patina then sharpen and go :)

The Puma White Hunter knives have industrial hard chrome plated blades. There is nothing you can do to remove scratches without removing the plating-which is very difficult to do.
It's best to leave the knife alone.
