I was wondering about White Lightning? I'm origionally from East Tennessee where white lightning came in a Mason jar but I saw some the other day in a hardware store that was some type of lubricant. Just wondered about it. Has anyone used it? How does work? I thought maybe it would be good to coat the blades on some of my carbon blades to keep rust out but the guy at the store said it wasn't for that but he wasn't really up on the product. Thanks for any help.

That is exactly what I use it for Russ. I coat 'em with WL and store 'em in sack-ups. Clean the metal parts with a clean, dry chamois first. Works great.

Although I didn't start out to use it to protect the blades, I wind up doing that anyway. It's a very thin liquid to begin with, and it usually flows all over if you use more than a drop or two (and I usually do) -- might as well wipe it all over the blades while you're at it. The volatile parts evaporate, leaving a waxy residue (if you have too much anywhere, it's easy to wipe off).

MN,

White Lightning has several products out, all of which I use. There is the Lubricant which has a wax base, great for keeping the dirt and moisture out - a Metal Prep and a Metal Polishing compound. I'm not sure who makes it but it is GOOD STUFF!!!!

I've read your posts in the Buck Forum - are you a member of the BCCI? If so, contact Larry Oden as Buck sells the stuff and Larry can get it for you.

Hope this helps!!!

have you thought of trying tuf-glide? its much better than white lightning, and thinnner. It works well for lubrication and rust prevention. also rennasainsse wax works well for rust prtevention also.:)

Has anyone tried the Sentry Solutions Dry formula? I was wondering if it went on wet and them dried.
