White Plains, NY - what is it like?

edited 'cause I just realized I was talking about the wrong place. I need to learn to read... :o

What kind of things do you want to know? It's a city, albeit a small one, with easy access to New York City by mass transit and car, right off some interstates, and with a very large variety of neighborhoods.
Like most of the area, it's gotten expensive as regards housing, and again like most of this tri-state area(NY/NJ/CT), it's gotten crowded. The surrounding towns are nice, and as you move north it gets a little less dense but traffic is a problem(what else is new, right?!)

I haven't seen much of it besides the areas adjacent to I-287. If it's all like that, all I can say is don't move there.

well, if I was offered a choice between Clifton and White Plains, I'd go for White Plains... If I were offered a choice between a kick in the nuts and White Plains, I'd take the kick in the nuts...
