White River Backpacker Gen 1 vs Gen 2 differences?

I suspect they would fit. The only difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 is that one is paracord wrapped.

Disclaimer - I have never seen what's underneath the paracord, however. There is a chance the handle holes are NOT drilled out on the paracord version.

From what I've seen online, there aren't holes drilled for the handle. It's just one long slot the length of the handle and the g10 scales screws stop at each end....so still not sure why they would say they are only meant for the gen 2. The backpacker I just bought off here so not a pro but is s35vn and was purchased in 2020. So I hope that's a gen 2. If it's a gen 1 I still can imagine the scales wouldn't fit correctly.
