I have an older Ursus Cub I used a lot until the sheath failed at the belt attachment. The M1 and FC3.5 are two I have used in the distant past as well. The Usus Cub knife worked well, but is overbuilt and a bit thick for 99.99% of things I daily carry a knife for.
Given a desire for a ~4" fixed blade with Magnacut today, I am liking what I see in the Brave model though I have never seen one in person. It appears to be ~1.5oz lighter than my Cub, so I am wondering what that means regarding the thickness during the cut in something soft. I want something thin enough to be reasonable for cutting fruit or a somewhat ripe tomato at camp while being tough enough to cut reasonable brush, tree saplings and twigs, and all manner of ranch chores. "Street" pricing above $200 is not a viable option either unless there is something a lot better for a modest price increase above this amount.
Am I on the right track, looking at a White River Brave model? Perhaps there is something superior I am not aware of?
TIA,
Sid
