White River Smaller Fixed Blades? Axiom, Brave, Hunter, Cub?

I have an older Ursus Cub I used a lot until the sheath failed at the belt attachment. The M1 and FC3.5 are two I have used in the distant past as well. The Usus Cub knife worked well, but is overbuilt and a bit thick for 99.99% of things I daily carry a knife for.

Given a desire for a ~4" fixed blade with Magnacut today, I am liking what I see in the Brave model though I have never seen one in person. It appears to be ~1.5oz lighter than my Cub, so I am wondering what that means regarding the thickness during the cut in something soft. I want something thin enough to be reasonable for cutting fruit or a somewhat ripe tomato at camp while being tough enough to cut reasonable brush, tree saplings and twigs, and all manner of ranch chores. "Street" pricing above $200 is not a viable option either unless there is something a lot better for a modest price increase above this amount.

Am I on the right track, looking at a White River Brave model? Perhaps there is something superior I am not aware of?

TIA,
Sid

You invited other options:

Buck 662.

Bos Heat Treat.

Forever warranty.

Magnacut.

Over your budget-a bit, but worth it for those reasons. It's slices well!

[You'll have to break in the sheath.]

Check out the exchange on this forum. You might be able to find something from one of the great makers here.
Around the $225 you could get White River’s Jason Fry Hunter . It feels great in hand and should handle everything you’d want to do. It’s CPM35V, not Magnacut, but I’d be hard to tell the difference.

White River makes amazing knives; their fit and finish punches well above price point. My M1 is incredibly well finished. They run the Magnacut nicely in terms of HT. The Brave is a Smith and Sons design, and they also make an amazing knife. Probably can’t go wrong with it, honestly.

Axiom is a great knife, especially the magnacut variant, sold it because i needed the money otherwise id still have it
Handled all the stupid stuff I did to it without losing much sharpness
