These are both amazing scissors for professional and Industrial use - so they should easily outlive me.
Are they tough and sharp ? Oh hell yeah - they`re meant for cutting fibreglass and stripping wire - all day - every day for years on end.

Oh yeah jc57 they are both more than up to the job of snipping herbs and doing poultry; they are strong enough to cut thin metals and glass fibre so all I have to do is just wash them and dry them after use in a kitchen - like general purpose scissors.
I`ve always used tools to the max and a lot of the time out of their comfort zone and original intended purposes.
Most well-made, over engineered scissors can handle a large assortment of materials. Will they go blunt or wear out faster - yeah probably but I don`t mind.
I have an ASUS Rog gaming laptop that`s been on 24/7 for over 4 years and it has 18 SSD`s plugged into it all the time - it wasn`t made for that sort of abuse.
If the scissors or tools can take the punishment - why not?
I have a very expensive bespoke English vegetable cleaver in RWL_34 and I`ve smashed coconuts with it and it definitely wasn`t designed to do that !

Can't for the life of me remember the brand but I used to have a pair of electrician's scissors that would cut through a penny no problem. Will these do the same?

I`ll give it a go Boattale and report back to you on here.I don`t see why not. They are only copper alloy or cupro-nickel.The scissors were only $18 and pennies are not that hard and Whiteley commercial and industrial scissors have got a World-Wide reputation for quality; they`ve been making EVERY type of scissors since 1760 and they should know what they`re doing by now.
They do over 250 off the shelf models of scissors.
That includes solid silver fully jewelled pieces for the English Royal Family, pairs for f1 motorsport, cutting steel cable - allsorts of applications.Of course they do bespoke designs for Industry and collaborate with the University of Sheffield and cutting edge CAD/CAM companies.
Their normal range goes from £6-7 up to £6700.00 and bespoke is sky is the limit.
