Has anybody had good results from any of the "whitening" tooth pastes on the market? I've been using some of the big names for a while now (crest and the like, for a couple years) with minimal results. Quit smoking about a month ago, but I still drink a lot of coffee (about a pot a day) and I haven't noticed any improvement since i quit cigs.

Now, I wouldn't say I have meth mouth; in fact my teeth are quite good. I'd just like to look like a non-smoker and not an ex-smoker :D

rembrandt works the best... none of them work GREAT. An otc teeth whitening solution that stays in your mouth overnight works much better. your dentist can do it for $200-500 and that works even better. All of them leave your mouth sensative.

The problem is, some people just have naturally darker teeth. So my teeth arent stained, but wont get any whiter using a stain remover. So if I dont do the constant treatments every 6 months or so, they go back to an off white shade. I havent done anything in like a year.

Ex-smoker here. I don't know about a toothpaste, but the Listerine whitening mouthwash made a noticeable difference for me. It's mostly hydrogen peroxide, so it foams. It's a little weird to get used to, but a lot of my tar stains have gone away.

Hmm, already have semi-sensitive teeth (though not as bad as when I was in high school), so I think I'll stay away from the harsher Tx. Maybe I'll try that listerine whitening.
