I promised myself no more knives for a little while, but when I saw the shield on this seahorse whittler I had to get it. it's a little fancier than I generally go for, but it reminds me of my father and I found it for a good price. the only thing I'd change would be CV blades instead of stainless, but I haven't seen any seahorses with CV in them so I went ahead and snagged it. besides, case's stainless gets plenty sharp for most purposes. the knife is a little larger than I was expecting and the main blade is thick, but it's also incredibly beautiful and feels great in the hand. and now, without further ado, a couple of pics:

Very nice! I like it... Yeah we all know what "no new knives" decisions means... I made one... 11 knives ago... Albeit most of them are slipjoints... still

Very, very, nice. The Anchor really sets it off as does the engraving of the bolsters. Great knife!!

Hi,

I like the bolsters on that one. And I think the Seahorse frame and the Wharncliff blade were made for each other. The curves just seem to flow so easily from frame to blade to point.

Very nice, I'd seen those but not with the engraved bolsters. If you don't mind me asking - where did you get it?

Thinking of picking up 1 more since the pattern just stopped being made.

Oh my!!! Thanks for posting this. This is a must have for me. Now my life has a purpose, I must find one.

I picked it up from deadwood, but if you google it there are a few dealers with them in stock with both scrolled and plain bolsters. jeff, it's teak and it's incredibly beautiful. thanks for the kind words, everyone.

Thanks for the info. I will be looking for one like it. The teak is perfect for a seahorse.

Case's Seahorse Whittler is an excellent design. My only issue with it is also that they don't come with CV blades, but other than that, it's a nice knife. It carries very well for its size & while the main blade's thick, it works well. I really like the version you got, look very nice. Mine's an orange G-10 one.
