ok i noticed in the what traditional knife are you carrying today thread that there was a case whittler shown. Now what really intrigued me about that was that the two spring came together in the end to act as one spring for the main clip point blade on the knife, thus centering the blade. so are all whittlers like that? if so which companies do it with carbon blades? All I do know is that the centered blade is feeding my single centered blade addiction, and the other blades are just bonus:D

It makes for a great feeling knife too, at least in my small/med. hand!

I don't know all the makes that make Whittlers in carbon steel, but what I personally like about the Whittler style is that the main blade's thicker & uses 2 springs. It might help in centering, I don't know, but it seems to be a stronger, thicker blade.

I have two Boker whittlers which I enjoy using from time to time. Am quite certain they have carbon blades.

Hen and Rooster makes one in carbon (the one in the pictures in that other thread is 1095). My Queen is D2, which isn't quite stainless and holds an edge pretty well.
