What are your thoughts and opinions with the button lock that William Henry uses on their Titan series? Any comments would be great.

The thumbstud is reversible if you are a lefty. Buttonlock is attractive and user friendly. I don't know how likely accidential release is. But, it didn't seem like an issue when I handled the knife.

If you are a lefty, you engage with your index finger instead of you thumb. The button is on the left side of the knife.

I have one in my pocket now. It locks up tight with no blade play or "wiggle" at all. I've never accidentally had it close on me. I like it a lot.

I have a titan bf15. I really like the one hand opening and closing. Push the button and flip it open, so fast I don't see the point of an assisted opener. Push the button and it closes without efford one handed without getting any of your beloved parts in the way of the sharp sides!

In short; I love the buttonlock in EDC use. My other knives are getting plenty of rest last year since I own my WH.

I carry it for over 1/2 a year. Not very heavy use. It carries very nice, light and handy in the clipcase. It is a real cutter with the thin blade (I dont use it for prying and stabbing, afraid of demaging the knife). The BF15 is a bladesize wich is useful. The titanium scrathes by using it, so is the 420 steel of the outerside of the blade.

The button lock is a very sturdy lock style that doesn't get much press. It's been used almost exclusively for auto knives. I've handled several WH button locks, and I am confident in their ability to take and handle much use and abuse. I own a Protech Runt with a button lock, and it's been around for about 7 years, and no signs of failure, or slippage. I think the main reason you don't see more of them is because they are a bit more expensive to do correctly. Most auto enthusiasts will agree that it is one of the stronger locks available. I don't think you could go wrong with a company like William Henry.

I got to play with a WH button-lock auto (Mokume-Gane handle, Damascus blade, w/enhanced diamond in the button), and it was AWESOME. Brought a smile right to my face. I think they are fantastic, and I can't imagine you having a lot of issues with long-term use. Very nice.
