Going to Blade Show this year for the first time. I am more than excited. Going to drive there from Texas. I have never been but like most of us watch the YouTube videos each year. I saved up a little money to buy a few knives. Anyone else going? Any Blade show veterans have some pro-tips? It would be cool to meet up if some fellow Bladeforums members are going.

I'll probably never attend... Too far to drive and I refuse to fly commercial.

For a first timer, I'd recommend getting the layout of makers and manufacturers, draw up a route plan to see the most important ones (to you) first. Makers usually sell out early Friday (many in minutes) so if you have one in particular (and have an early bird pass) I'd go to that table first. Always ask before picking up a knife, especially top echelon makers. It's common courtesy. Also, take note of when the raffles and lotteries are scheduled. It's a great time to pick up customs from well known makers at table prices.

After seeing makers of particular interest, you can take your time with other vendors and manufacturers. Crowds will be big on Friday, get in line a minimum of two hours before it opens.

Thanks man!! I downloaded the mobile app. Should have mapping. I’ll draw up a route the night before and get there early. Thanks a lot for the tips!!!
