I know I am! I’m sure it isn’t the biggest seller, but it’s a proven classic. I’ll probably grab the first new sprint that pops up. Cruwear, M4, CPM-154, S45VN, I’ll take almost anything.

Cheers!

That’s what I like about them, they don’t fly off the shelves and someone like me has a chance to get one because having four isn’t quite enough. I’m crossing my fingers that they make a run for more than one dealer in S45VN or Cru Wear

I would like to have one myself.
Someone on here was saying that millies were coming soon with a compression lock.
Sounds good to me.

I have a s45vn and have no complaints with this steel.

If this winds up being true, I’ll have to find a liner lock version used. Compression locks are cool, but I don’t like them for harder use without gloves. Hotspot.

The Millie is also the only folder that I can open and close one-handed with gloves on. I don't know that I could do that with the compression lock.

I'll admit that I've looked at and even tried to buy one of the CF/52100 and CF/M390 versions but finally "decided" after failing to catch one of these for a "reasonable" price that the 5 Millies that I already own are "enough."

LOL! ;)

I found a dealer that has standard, lefty and blacked out millies. Not sure if they are sponsored so if anyone wants to know just send me a message

Sal has said more than once that even *if* the comp lock Millie becomes a reality, the liner lock version will continue along as well. Which is good news as long as it happens in Sal's lifetime.

My concern is, if they start releasing the new version in cool new steels and flashy handle materials while offering the original liner lock with the old boring S30V/black G10, then they can point at sale figures and say sorry we must discontinue it, because of the all-important sales are low.

Or even if they keep the original Millie in production it will be made in such a small numbers it will be unobtainable. Just like how the Native fluted CF is available only for a week or so each year. We can see this right now, it is pretty hard to buy a Millie already.

I know they are expanding their production facility (again), and they are still dealing with manpower shortfalls due to Covid, and probably other supply chain issues as well. Hopefully, cutting back on the Exclusives and increasing their production capacity will get the Military back in the production queue. I also worry that a comp lock version will get all the Sprint love, but I know it won't get my money.

Seems like I haven't seen a military in stock in ages. After loosing mine I'd be happy with just about anything.

I'm ready for a new one. I'm still hoping to see Maxamet, but K390 would certainly tide me over.
I'm also wanting a K390 version of the C-36 Military model. The M390 Spyderco C-36 Military model has been one of my most used EDC folders I've ever owned or used. Yeah I tend to agree with YAB that a "Maxamet and/or K390" version would be a great addition to my "user arsenal" of folders that I frequently use on a daily basis.

When I first decided to make a C-36 Military an EveryDay Carry I was just a bit hesitant because of the blade length. But here in the state of Missouri we have a 4 inch blade length limit which works well for carrying big folders. I carried and used that M390 Military for over 4 years straight before switching to other Spyderco folders for my main EDC. The Millie and Para2 both are blades I like for EDC purposes.

Yeah those two blade steels would be excellent for a new C-36 Military for everday uses. The Military and Para2 both are excellent models to introduce new blade steels. Put me down as voting YES!!!!
