Who all will be attending Blade Show 2014 in Atlanta?

I will be their. Would like to meet some fellow blade fanatics.

I will probably have my City of Carnesville Fire Dept shirt on if anyone sees me.

also can you carry (CCW license permitting) knives/guns into the blade show at Cobb galleria?

I'll be there, but just walking around and buying - no table/no sales. As for firearms, I believe the show organizers do not allow guns. Any time I attend shows like this, I secure my firearms in the trunk of my vehicle.

It will be my first time at Blade Show ! What can i expect ? Can I triad old knives for new ones ? Are there a lot of hand outs, free things ? Im mostly looking for
some new sharping stones and i know i want leave with out a new blade . How are the prices ? Cheaper or more expensive than online ?

I'll be there. Look for a 20 year old clean shaved 6 foot 2" guy with short black hair wearing a cream color dress shirt ; suspenders; grey trousers and a grey vest.
I hope to buy a plain edge VG-10 Stainless steel handled Spyderco Harpy as made by GSakai.
Anyway ; see you guys there

+1 I would like to know as well.

I have been to gun shows in the past and they have become a waste of time for the most part. Gun show prices are not low like they used to be and the same as you can get at your local gun shop.

I would be really excited if the prices were decent and the selection is huge. Like a Smokey Mountain Knife Works but with lower prices.

Blade show isn't really a consumer knife show like your state gun show. It's more like the SHOT show for knives. Lots of manufacturers and suppliers, industry stuff. Custom makers and retailers will be there as well along with the usual guys with crap swords in a barrel and what not. It's not a place to go for flea market prices, or to horse trade really. Worth going for the custom maker lotteries in case you get lucky or if you manage to snag one for table price if you get there in time, worth going to see what the manufacturers are releasing this year, but don't expect to be able to buy them at the show as they're mostly showing prototypes. Worth getting a show special or two if the price is right. Maybe buy sell trade with the resellers if you have something special they'd be interested in.
