Who are the custom slip joint knife makers here?

Beside T.A Davison, who are some other quality traditional slip joint custom builders? I am seriously considering my first custom traditional slip joint and want to see all my options.

The gents, Reese and Tony Bose, at Wilfred Works. Can't forget Enrique Peńa. I love his hand jigged bone. Bobby Toole is another to look at. The Traditionals forum here is a great place to hang out in to see some great slip joints also.

There are tons of makers who make great slip joint knives - for a lot of those names mentioned be prepared to wait a long time (months to years) if you're looking to build a knife from the ground up..

R.L. Smith MS makes a hell'uva knife, he turned one out for me in -5 weeks.. it doesn't get any quicker than that :thumbup:



I would suggest you buy a publication like Knives 2014 look thru it and check the listings in the back

Thanks guys, for the list of all these custom builders. However, with the exception of T.A. Davison, very few if any of these fore-mentioned have websites! How does someone learn and see their offerings??

If you browse the traditional subforum, there's a dedicated thread for each maker (or most of them), which can be even more useful than a website. Also, most of these makers are members here, so it's easy to contact them.
As a sidenote, I'm absolutely surprised that no one has mentioned Ken Erickson yet
