Not necessarily the best maker...just the ones who you think are in highest demand.

who sells out at a knife show the fastest?

20 years ago it was RJ Martin, Emerson, Bose, John Young and Jerry Fisk, among others.

I suppose some of those are still in high demand but I'm curious who you thing are the highest demand of the "younger" generation....

Pena? Marfione?

Haha...there are just too many to list. :)

@ShannonSteelLabs - pure users (will soon see how great the heat treat/grind is)
@Robert Erickson - users worthy of putting on display - great heat treats and grinds
@Uncovsky - pure art and can of course be used
REK Knives REK Knives - no full customs out yet (soon-ish) but has mastered re-blading knives/pimping

All active on BF. There are other great makers that are exclusive to Instagram and will never get my business due to that.

Alan Davis
Matt Bailey
Brian Tighe

Ramon Chavez and Brian Tighe are putting out interesting knives.

I just bought a sweet Ole Petersen.

Brian Tighe has been putting out great stuff for 20 years. He's a maker that I feel has never received the recognition he deserves.

I completely agree. Someday I'll own another. I regret selling the one I had.

Many great custom makers out there, but the one I own the most from is @OlamicCutlery . Their knives are simply my jam. Each one better than the last. Knife shows? You'd better be at their table when it opens on the first day so you can have your pick. After a couple of hours, your selection will be very limited.

Can't have such a thread without mention of Jerry Hossom. He's been in the biz a long time so I don't know if he's "hot" per se, but I did see his table at Blade Show sell out within a very short time first day opened. People were not just buying one either. I group of Asian showed up and seemed to purchase half the table within maybe 30 mins or less of opening his table. I'm now questioning if I should have sold the early Hossom I had, but I'm really not a collector and knew I'd never use it.
