Who came up with this design?

Found this on the big auction site from a seller based in Hong Kong. Don't think this Columbia manufacturer came up with this design since they also have their own ripoff of the Kershaw ET. Anyone know?

Well the Benchmark SOS blade produced a blade with a similar design in the 80s I believe it was. Not sure if that is where it originated though.
