Who can do handle mods?

Its for a knife from those "other guys" (ESEE) ;)

I have quite a few beckers as well. I was curious if anyone could shape/ or has shaped a flat micarta handle like the esee5 or 6, into something more like the bk's handles.

I figure you wouldnt need to touch the areas where the screws are just in between. I have done grooves before on my bk2, on the grivory and eventually the micarta. I love my esee5 but I would kill if it had that "becker" shape.

Appreciate any ideas or shameless plugs of who has can do this?

No idea but I sure as hell would like to see it! I am sure someone with esee experience will chime in. I have none.

Don't know who is currently doing mods but reshaping slabs is fairly easy. Just tape up the edge and reshape to suit you with a rasp then a file then sand to say 220 or 320 grit. I would get a 1/2pm round rasp and a 6in flat file. Probably only take you a half hour or so to make the slabs just the way you want them :)

just sell your ESEE and buy Beckers :)

I have a bk2, problem is I like the micarta and sheath that came with the 5, but I much prefer the shape of the bk2/all beckers handles.

Bladite....Im working on it haha. The beckers already outnumber the esee..... Damn dark side step children that they are!

Get some micarta handle for your BK2 & call it a day.

Better answer---YOU can do the mods yourself. A Dremel tool & a feww accessories makes it easy.

Ooooo all you need is a dremel tool? I might have to try to make some handles myself.

Where do you guys get those fancy looking woods you have that make those multi-color patterns? They are really sweet.

I might try making a sheath too. Do you just cut leather and sew? I have a sewing machine and I'd proud to say I'm not too bad at using it ;)

Easy, Just use a dremel tool with a sanding band (.25"/.50"). I Dont want to do that to my RAT/ESEE blades though, I think it messes with the "style" of each company.
