Not sure where this is supposed to go. I am wondering if there is anyone out there who can put some partial serrations on my buck csar-t? I am normally not a fan, but I work in law enforcement and have recently been shown how useful they can be. I realy like the heft of my csart and would hate to give it up. Can anyone help?

They can be done with care using a chainsaw file and some time. Maybe try a search of the forums and you might fine a thread about them.

What were you shown that makes you think you now need serrations? Perhaps all you need is to give your knife a good sharpening... most sharpeners (here anyway) can put an edge on it better than it came with, (with a different level of finish if desired) and it may perform how you want it to. You might be showing your serration friend what your knife can do. Also, if you're new to law enforcement, you might consider asking more experienced officers, if the tasks you think you need serrations for, actually ever happen. I'd do a little more fact checking before doing something to what looks like a nice knife... that you may later regret.

You might also consider carrying a serrated knife for a while... see if it's what you really want, before you put serrations in yours. (Especially since you already said you're not a fan). But I'd first consider finding a sharpener who can put a good edge on the knife, then maybe learning how to maintain it.

Willey Knives was recommended by a company famous for their serrations.
