I hunted a knife on internet named lancay M11. Now i am living in canada, I have to get it from us because canada does not have it.

So I hope someone could help me explain whether my behaviour is illegal. I suspect it , because Lancay INC produced many military blade like M9.

thank for your answer & attention.

Welcome to BladeForums, qmail.

The M11 looks like a straightforward fixed blade. By themselves, fixed blades are not prohibited under the Canadian Criminal Code.

A LEO/Judge can still call it a "weapon" if you use it as a weapon instead of a tool.

Many places also have specific local laws on what you can/can't carry.

Check out this sticky on Canadian Knife Laws in the Canadian Sub-Forum.

I am a former ADA in New York, and a dual citizen of both Canada and the United States.

There should be no problem shipping the knife to your Canadian address. There is no law in Canada prohibiting the possession of a large, fixed blade knife. You can even carry it. You only run into trouble under the following circumstances:

1. You commit a serious crime while carrying the knife; or
2. You accomplish a crime through use of the knife; or
3. You intend to use the knife to cause physical injury to another person; or
4. You use the knife to cause another person to fear physical injury.

Automatic, gravity, or "flicker" knives are prohibited in Canada as well.

Other than those conditions, you should be fine. Enjoy your knife!
