I want to have a bottom eject sheath for a GB wildlife hatchet or a Kubben hatchet made.

Similar to those Edwood7 uses for his Winkler or to those RMJ uses.

Anyone know of a reputable, responsive kydex bender who can handle this job.

Not what I'm looking for, but thanks for the link. Those are mainly just edge masks. I'm looking to have a bottom eject sheath made that I can use as part of a carry system.

Thanks guys.

The first one is making a drop in sheath, but the first half of his process applies to what I'm looking for.

The second one is on the money ( except for being for a hammer ). He is indeed on this forum.....but I can't remember his name.

I could order some kydex...but I'm not tooled up to finish the job.

I think the gut that made the "hammer" sling isd BF member Charlie Mike. I ahve been wanting to buy a sheet or two of Kydex and some eyeley/ribets and try it out. just ain't got 'round to that either.

Bingo! Omniviking you got his name right.

I may be forced to make my own....but it will cost me more than having one made due to the cost of tools, jigging, and supplies. Nevertheless it may be my only option.

I do have this posted over in sheaths and such as well.

I though about just using a heat gun and just form it around hatchet and make a one of a kinda what I wanted.

I think this is the type your looking for.

Edwood7...right on the money. That is the type sheath I want made.

BillyJoe please do post the links that would help me greatly.

Thanks for the replies folks!!!!

I know BF member/Mod Kiah makes sheaths for fiskars hatchets, he might be able to build you a custom number like you are wanting. He can be contacted here on the forums or do a Google search for kiahdex to get to his website (not sure if I can link it here).

Winkler should have all hiw hawks delivered with a sheath like this one. I like the way to bungee cord works on this one more than on the sheathes he has. But what do you reckon?

You can make the shock-cord do almost anything you want. You can also rig IWB loops as a thumb-break like a holster.
