Who do you guys recommend to make a kydex sheath for my WWII? The traditional sheath is nice, but kydex is much lighter and more weather resistant. I will be using it for backpacking.

I think there might be some iformation about kydex scabbards in the past posts.
I don't recall whether they're in the archived forums or not but now that the search functions back it would be fairly easy to find out.
I seem to recall several posts on the traditional scabbards and why the are better or worse, can't recall which.

But I do know that the subjects been brought up before and it seems that someone mentioned where to get the kydex scabbards made for khkuris.

Bro I believe Terry sticks with either leather or wood and leather, but not for sure.
I may see him tomorrow and if I do I will try to remember to ask him.
One thing about it, if Terry did start working in kydex the scabbards would be as excellent as his other work.

Sorry guys.
I usually stick to traditional or all leather sheaths. I may try a kydex sheath in the future.
Thanks for the kind words.
God bless.

I can deffinately agree wholeheartedly with Bill and Yvsa on Terrys work. It is great to say the least. If you want leather or leather and wood he is the man!

If you really want a kydey sheath try, Scott Evans of Edgeworks. I have a WWIII with a kydex sheath by them. It is super and since a WWIII and a WWII have the same blade shape there would be no question that it would be easy for them to do.
The e-mail address for them is. edgeworks@costalnet.com The homepage for them is www.tacticleholsters.com
Hope this helps.

I couldn't make that link work, but hopefully this will get you to EdgeWorks. I also have one of their Kydex rigs and it is a well made product if that's what you're looking for. Definitely hi-tech, not traditional, but excellent work.

Thanks Berkley,

I seem to have misspelled the homepage link. Thats normal for me though.

That is more like it. I hope.
