Who can post a picture of the highest # ZT0551?

With 1000 of the popular ZT0551 made, I was a bit surprised to get such a high # already. Wonder how many are left to sell through dealers now, if any? OK, who has me beat?

I'm curious about that too since I just pre-ordered an 0551 on Friday from knifeworks. Are they coming out with a second limited run or are there still knives out there from the original run?
 
There's to be 1000 of the 0551, then the regular production will be the 0550, with a different steel. That's my understanding and may not be exactly right, as I am just going by what I can recall ATM.

That's what I don't understand. Knifeworks has a pre-order for the 0551 as well as the 0550. That's what has me wondering if there are still 0551's from the original run out there?

Just got mine 2 days ago and I'm number 638. Theres a few people who have 10+ in stock. I can think of at least 50 for sale atm.
 
I can't decide whether to drop two bills on one of these suckers. Twice I have had one in the shopping cart, and each time I cancelled. Wish it had a flipper, and may wait on the pending ZT/Hinderer flipper design whenever that happens. I should be getting a 0551 in a passaround in the next week or two, so perhaps that will push me over the edge.
 
The numbers coming out of the MFG are not sequential - I asked about that a while back. I have a 0284 (carry 0551), 0024 (stash) and I just traded a 0266. I also have one coming from BHQ too when they get theirs. I was alrady comfirmed to be in their allotment if they ever get them.

Well I broke down and pre-ordered the 0551 on Friday night. Whether or not I get it is questionable at this point, but as soon as the pre-orders come out for the flipper version, I will definitely not hesitate to pull out my already exhausted credit card!
 
The 0551 I picked up 'off the shelf' from a local store yesterday was #0576. The blade is pretty well centered. Clock oil in a syringe was applied to both bronze bushings and the lockbar ball. It was worked in a bit - much smoother operation. My 0301 is over 9 months old - still centered. I may like it a bit better - time will tell.

This is true, I recall Thomas mentioned it in the second megathread.
