Who can work with Abalone?

I have an idea for a new sushi knife and have purchased two large sheets of laminated abalone shell. The knifemakers I've contacted don't/can't work with it. I'm looking for a knifemaker with reasonable rates who can make an octagonal handle out of the sheets.
If it makes a difference the sheets are 140mm x 120mm x 2.5mm
Anybody out there have some recommendations?
 
Mark Knapp makes some pretty amazing abalone handles, I don't know if he's into making parts and pieces for people but you might get a lead from him.
 
I thought my ears were ringing. If anyone would like to accommodate Ross, I would be happy to help with tips and technique anyway I can.
 
Try Steve Fecas. He's done good work for me, and I think his prices are very reasonable.
