Who carries the most metal on them in terms of weight?

Someone once said Cliff stamp carries 25lbs of steel on himself for various things. How much truth is there to that?

If it is true, who can top it?

Tuff :

Cliff stamp carries 25lbs of steel on himself

This is not for use per say but for baseline purposes. For example I was doing chopping comparisons earlier this week and was carrying a 22", 18" and 15" Ang Khola, a 20" Sirupati, a Busse Battle Mistress, a TOPS Steel Eagle, A Strider WB, a Project I, a Busse Basic, a Barteaux 18 and 12" machete, a Stellite 6K knife from Gerber and a forged Cobalt 6BH blade from Kit Carson and Steve Schwarzer.

How much truth is there to that?

As much as there in anything else I say.

I don't even come close, but I remember reading that James Mattis carries quite a bit. He has a scan of all of his daily carries and there is quite a bit there. James, how about showing us that scan again

I know I was shocked to see how much you carried and embarresed at how little I carry.

I think you need to clarify what you mean by carry....

Every morning I put a Swiss Tool in my left vest pocket, an Allen Blade 52100 MEUK on a static cord in my left front pants pocket, a TOPS Talonite Shadow Hunter on my right rear hip, a Spyderco Wayne Goddard ltwt in my left rear pants pockets, a Spyderco Navigator in my right rear pants pocket.

In my backpack I have a Cold Steel Rifleman's Hawk and a Barteaux 12 Heavy Duty Machete.

In my hip pack I have a Mora 2000, a long and short Ericksons Mora Moderns, and a Frosts Laminated blade.

And any other knives that I happen to decide to throw in a pocket that day.

And my Madison Michigan 3.5lb Axe that seems to find it's way into my hand.

I don't know if that makes 25lbs, but it is surely too much steel.

And that does not include the other stuff.

by carry I mean what you carry on at least a semi-regular basis, maybe 3 days a week I suppose.

Where is James, I remember that photo....

Definitely Dexter. Here he is on a light day.

Dex is the one with the Will Fennell hat on.

That's the one, James!!

I don't know what's wrong with me, I forgot, just for a moment, about Dexter! That's what he carries at shows, but does he carry all that on a day to day basis? More power to him if he does!

Dexter hands down. He makes the rest of us light weights.

I forgot about James. hell, you carry a lot yourself, I remember the other photo of what you had once day...

You need to lighten your inventory James. Lighten the Axis lock over my way eh?

Dexter for certain!

He weighs 135lbs loaded down, and 27 lbs when he removes his vest.

Since that last pic of Dexter was taken,he has gotten into a lot of large fixed blades as well.I have seen him with 3-4 fixed blades in and on his waist as well as all the folders in his vest.Truly he is a man of steel! I notice he stays away from swimming pools and other appreciable bodies of water
