Not according to this post, but until I hear it from Ethan himself, I'll take what was said in that post with a grain of salt.ethan becker i beleive
I believe that Ethan has commented on his designing the Brute himself, but I can't remember for sure. I do know that Blackjack did produce it at one point, as they produced all Becker's for awhile.
there was a bead blast and a gray coat Brute variant from BlackJack, and then a Brute from Camillus with only one major variant that i'm aware of.
Bladite
But who designed it, Bladite? Was it Ethan, or someone else?
nothing in my extensive collection of literature attaches a name to it.
the only two blades that DO have names attached are: Hank Reinhardt for the large khukri, and Jerry Fisk for the Magnum Camp.
otherwise, i have to assume they're Becker products.
whatever Ethan says, i'll go with
Bladite
I'll go with whatever Ethan says, too. If anyone would know, he would.
it's a safe bet that if he has his name on it, he knows all

Hey Hardheart......
Mikey (Mr. Smoothie) Stewart designed the Brute blade during the Blackjack days....
