Who do you have to know to get a RAT?

I was trying to get a RC-6 and an a Izula and I am not having very good luck.I ordered both from a dealer that I even recommended based on what I read in this forum.The website said that they had some of both in stock so I placed the order.They emailed later saying that they both werent in stock.I replied back and asked why the site said they had stock and two days later still listed as in stock.I did not receice an answer th that questio.Then I go to the RAT Cutlery site to look for other dealers.I checked about ten and was not happy with what I found.Some clearly stated they had none in stock.One site did not even sell RAT another had not updated the site since november 08.I was also surprised at the price difference of 40 dollars for the RC-6 between some sites.



Sorry just wanted to vent a little.

They're trying to make them as fast as they can! Just hold on a little longer. ;)
 
Some of the dealers have stock on the Izula according to what they have posted here.
 
I am not complaining about supply just that dealers dont keep track of inventory.
 
If you look like that picture next to your name, I'm the person to know. :D
 
IZULAS are still a bit in short supply, but RC6's have been out long enough that I think the orders have been filled and the supply pipeline is keeping up.
 
i got mine on ebay it was at my house in 3 days
they will list an item only if they have it
 
Knowing me helps ! :D LOL just kidding !! KSF is where I go but the Demand is high right now and they are being made fast as possible.....hold tight they'll be on the shelves again shortly !:thumbup:
 
I dont have a problem waiting.I have a problem with sites that are not up to date.
 
KSF has / shows stock on both and I agree with you on not updating sites...I liked your previous avatar,LOL
 
I take back my comment about you looking like your picture. Just for the record, that picture used to be a hot chick, for those just joining us. lol
 
All you need to have is a bit of patience. Order what you want and wait a couple weeks.

It has been almost 3 weeks since I ordered my Izula, but it is in USPS' hands right now on its way to me.

Feel fortunate you aren't a Scrap Yard fanboy waiting for the next feeding. They have been waiting months for a new release.
 
I've been patiently waiting since mid December, now Andy over at Andy's Leather House is waiting with me. LOL.
 
I guess some missed part of what I said.I have a problem with the site listing both as in stock and a day later telling me they are back ordered.What bother me more is that I asked why they were listed in stock and was ignored and the fact that they still have not changed the site to list them as out of stock.

Just to be clear I dont mind waiting as long as I know ahead of time.

Scrap yard just shipped the SOD and the Muk is up now.

Must have meant Swamp Rat?







That damn SOD I have is the only thing keeping me from getting a RC6 or RC5...but I suppose eventually I will end up with them anyway.



I dont know. I have 5 RC knives, never had to wait for any of them. Just ordered at the right time and got lucky I guess.

Breathing a sigh of relief..I was worried about you until I read this disclaimer:D
 
I know how you feel, ordered my first rat (rc 4) over a week ago from my local supplier. No knife so I emailed to see how it was going, they were away on holidays so orders were delayed. No problem every one needs a holiday but I feel they should note on their site that shipping will be delayed .Then I'm told items are still clearing custom ,they to were marked as IN STOCK.I sent an e mail to verify status I'm still waiting for a reply. All this time my money is in their bank!!! Don't mind problems just like to be told whats going on.Next time I'll order from Derrick (got your e mail on shipping thanks) what ever the damn exchange rate. But I sure am looking forward to getting that knife !!!
 
Yah I sold off all my excess gear to save up for an RC-6. Sadly I can't find one... I know good things come to those who wait but I'm feeling nekkid without a RAT!
