Does anyone know who does blade alteration on here or otherwise? Say you wanted a recurve flattened out into the plain of the rest of the edge, or maybe grind the spine down to make a thinner blade surface. I know STR does clip work and frame-lock conversion but i don't think he does this kind of thing. Thanks for any and all input.

just about any maker can handle this job.the problem is whether they want to to take their time for a small job, go to new orleans or biloxic.miss.go to the phone @ find the closet barnes @ noble bookstore.ask for assisstance;they will direct you where you can find a recent book by joe kertzman or other authors.write down the makers closet to you.have index in back.you do'nt have to buy the book.i've done this on knives @ antiques

Tom Krein does this sort of thing. I'm not sure what his turn-around time is right now, though, he's pretty much always busy. I'de contact STR first.
