Looking for someone to do a little polishing/shaping on some bolsters on a northwoods slipjoint for me. Anyone you can recommend?

@glennbad . From what I've seen of his work posted here, he is top notch.
I don't know if he is taking on more work at this time, or what his turn-around time is.
I communicated with Glennbad recently and his books are closed due to the backlog he has. I'm sure he won't mind you checking with him anyway. His work is A1.

Get some different grades of sandpaper, a buffing wheel for your cordless drill, some polishing compound, and take it slow. What you want done doesn’t sound too extreme at all. I bet that you could handle it

So...... I was directed to this thread via another, as I was wondering who out there, if anybody, can/will fix the back spring on a small Schatt & Morgan FWT congress I've been hanging on to, seeing as how Queen is now closed and auctioned off, and thus their warranty dept. is not an option anymore...

Good luck.
It might be less expensive to replace the knife.
From what I've heard, fabricating and installing and fitting a new backspring (so it is not proud or sunk, and the pull is not excessively heavy or light) is time consuming.

I think someday I'll face up to taking apart my Queen slim stockman with two broken springs and making new springs myself. So it will be a life's work. Boy, was I disappointed when I heard that second "ping" from my pocket.
