(Specifically, I'm trying to get a white handle for a mini Griptilian.)
So far the only place I've found is: custom scale division. They seem to do nice work at reasonable prices though they are in Germany.
Are there people/places who do comparable/affordable work or are they the only game in town?

I think that's a good question. I've wondered about that too. Some knives are great right out of the box, but some I could see having thicker scales. For example, some time ago I bought a Spyderco Chinook 3. Great knife, I would have liked to have been able to have thicker scales made though.

So are there people out there making after-market scales for knives (as well as the longer screws that would be needed to use them?)

Cuscadi makes custom Grip scales too, they run for about as much as a Wilkins.
Edit: nevermind, just realized that that was what you already looked at

Thanks. The more the merrier, particularly since there are no white Wilkins grips according to the U.S. dealer who offered me black as an alternative (uh...). (I contacted Germany but if achieving a black-bladed white-handled mini griptilian turns out to be $300 we'll just have to put a pin in this project.)

Peter R here on bladeforums makes some excellent scales for a few knives. I only have his Sebenza and Umnumzaan scales as of now, but he is also making them for the XM-18 now. I don't know what other knives he has that he could make them for, but send him a PM. He is great to deal with.

All 3 of the scales fit perfectly on the knives and have a great feel and grip to them.

CF scales and backspacer (don't know material) by Dobson. He's the guy to talk to for any knife handle. Best prices around as well. Outstanding gentleman.

He's known for working with the Kershaw RAM though..

Couple more Dobson works of art. The bottom one is mine. My phone camera sucks and does no justice to the wood's detail but you can see the perfect sculpture. These feel great in the hand. It's kind of hard to put them down.

Thanks so much for the recommendations, guys. The only one that panned out at this point was the original Custom Scale Division from Germany. I'm going with white G10; (yes it exists.) She won't be a super-bright pearly white but she will be white enough.
Can't wait to have a black-and-white knife.
