this is my first post. i been reading you guys for a while now and i think you will get a kick out of this one.

who is it that the sound of your bali(s) piss off the most?

i ask cause i just found out my wife HATES the sound. so now i either have to wait until she is asleep:mad: or get her to love the sound. in other words get her to flip too.:D

my mom
I flip my bali while i sit at the computer waitin on stuff do download...
mom will be in the living room and slowly the tv will get louder and louder... hehehe then she yells at me and tells me to go outside... hahaha... i think its funny:D

My wife. It's not the sound, just the sight of me manipulating my bali scares her. That's even if i'm a good 3 meters away from her. :(

On the good side, she totally supports my knife habit. :)

My mom, then my sister. They never shut up about it :p. My dad isn't too bad about it though. My now-ex was totally mesmerized by it, which was great

My boss gets really sick of it after about 30 minutes, but that does'nt mean I can't taunt him after that. Fortunately he is a very good freind, and my Ladys' best freind since childhood so I can get away with it.

My girlfriend thinks im nuts, but she deals with the clicking ok. She does get a little nervous when I fling it to the ground after a finger spin gone bad:D

I guess it must be my girlfriend. I usually play with it while we are watching tv so it must bug her to hear the click ....click....clack. Every time i do an arial she just gets freak and begs me to put it away, I guess i can understand how she gets scared seeing me throw a knife into the air and "attempt" to catch it. On the good side every once in a while she wants to learn how to flip them. She attempts and does a good job than she just puts it down and wants to go do something else.I might just buy here one some day."might":D

I've only gotten one complaint and it was from my sister. She plays piano professionally and says my rythm screws her's up. Other than that, nobody seems to mind. Although, when I'm around other people, I keep to the quieter manipulations... aerials, finger twirls and non-ricochet moves. And I do have one friend who gets scared as hell when I do anything with the knife. So when she's not looking at my manipulations, I gently lob small objects at her back and scream "LOOK OUT!!"

If my mom found out what that clicking noice was then she would hate it. My dad dosent like it simply because he thinks I'm going to lop off a finger.

.....she hates the sound of it! I don't know how many times I've started to flip my bali, without even thinking about it, watching tv late in the evening, and have awakened my sleeping beauty! At that point there's no more sleeping or beauty!!!!!!  She really flips out (pun intended) when both my son and I get started.....:D

I'm with Dawkind. My wife actually likes my balisongs. She even has a couple herself. She knows how to do a few openings and closings as well. Our computer is in the bedroom though. From my habit of manipulating at the computer I probably wake her up once a week. Then she looks like this.

I'll probably wind up flipping in front of my grandparents in a week, as they'll be staying at our house soon. The reactions could be interesting ;). My grandparents (the ones coming out) on my dad's side are Philippino though, so maybe that'll work to my advantage ;). My grandpa will probably be cool with it, my grandma will flip out.

My wife likes them, she just hates the fact I want to buy every single one that comes out. She calls it my "expensive toy" then she laughs. Maybe a good sign?

My sister hates the sound. She'll take all my balisongs and hide them so that I have to promise not to flip so loudly just to get them back. After that, my mom is scared that I'll cut myself real badly or something.
