I own pen knives (2-blade) from Buck and Schrade.
BUT...my favorites and the ones I carry/use are from Victorinox (Executive, Minichamp, or Classic).
I believe, according to Bernard Levine's guide to knives, that these Victorinox models are classified as "lobster pen knives" due to their having blades on both ends and both sides, yet being lightly built.
I find these little pen knives indispensable every day. I use the small tools for everything from light grooming, setting up my computer at work, peeling/cutting fruit, etc., and except for one isolated incident, they've not caused any fear at all.
I also always carry some so-called "tactical" folder, but while at work (I am a captioner), the Executive or Minichamp handles everything I need, while the bigger folders are saved for harder use at home or play, or unforeseen heavier chores.
