I own pen knives (2-blade) from Buck and Schrade.
BUT...my favorites and the ones I carry/use are from Victorinox (Executive, Minichamp, or Classic).
I believe, according to Bernard Levine's guide to knives, that these Victorinox models are classified as "lobster pen knives" due to their having blades on both ends and both sides, yet being lightly built.

I find these little pen knives indispensable every day. I use the small tools for everything from light grooming, setting up my computer at work, peeling/cutting fruit, etc., and except for one isolated incident, they've not caused any fear at all.

I also always carry some so-called "tactical" folder, but while at work (I am a captioner), the Executive or Minichamp handles everything I need, while the bigger folders are saved for harder use at home or play, or unforeseen heavier chores.

Hi James,

I have a tuxedo knife, (I got it as a gift) I only wear it with tuxedos though. (lol) Its sort of like a pen knife.

I also have a pen with a knife blade in it (another gift). You pull off the cap and there it is. (I never carry it.)

Yep -always have the Swiss on my keys - use and old "executive" once and a while - and a case two blade jack a Schrade 340T and some others of like ilk ! but there's usually a spyderco around too ! Dad's favorite was a very thin Hoffritz with metal scales but bladed like the executive - I think a turkey etching on one side and a stag on the other... he was never without it - I buried it with him when he died about 13 years ago.. could not bring myself to use it. But yep there's always a place for a pen knife... I've given a lot of them away as gifts. - On a bet I even field dressed and skinned a deer with the sak classic.
Didn't cut myself either.

John and Revvie:
Hi!
Yeah, there's alway room for a good pen knife. The knife I notice on people most often is the SAK Victorinox Classic, usually on their keys. Another great thing, as Revvie says, about pen knives is that there's always room for carrying more knives!

Field dressed an entire deer with the little pen blade? I love hearing how someone uses very small knives for big jobs (even on a bet).

I'm a big fan of Case Eisenhowers. The Eisenhower is a small equal end Case pen knife that sports President Eisenhower's signature on the blade. I actually have a collection of them (an example of every one made, I think.) I carry a stag handled Eisenhower whenever I dress up to go out. I have two of them for carry and use that aren't a part of my collection.
