Damn, my third post in this very interesing forum this morning. Hope you are not sick of me, guys.
I mostly collect older (some newer) factory made toothpicks. As per my screen name. One of my favorite non-factory blades is my Bob Cargill five inch, real stag handled. As probably with many of us 'pattern collectors', I sometimes add a few more knives (other patterns) by the same manufactor to my collection, so I've managed to pick up a few more Cripple Creeks. I enjoy owning them.
I'd say Cargill/Cripple Creeks are what.. benchmade knives? Rather than true customs? Every one I have was part of an edition, like club knives and such, and I think Cargill's whole family joined in the making of them.
Any other good makers out there I am missing out on, with prices and quality equal or colse to Cargills? Photos always welcome! I love what you show-offs come up with here!
