I can't be the only one, can I? So far my BK-2 has helped by clearing shooting lanes (it's a chopper - don't care what you say) and relieving boredom (spoon carving). My BK-14 rides along but has yet to clean a deer - I consider that my fault though and not the necker's. :D

Anyone else?

i've used the BK05 Magnum Camp for lane clearing at my range. have sliced meat, but no animals yet.

i always take a knife into the woods. sometimes a pocket knife, often something like the BK14 EskaBar, often a BK02 Magnum Camp.

I haven't taken any camping yet, but my BK2 always comes on the trail with me. Sometimes on my side, sometimes in my pack, but always on the trail.

That said, I would certainly take it hunting with me if I just had time to go hunting. Between work, school, and family I barely make it out for small day hikes anymore...

My Campanion goes everytime I step off the pavement, whether it be hunting, fishing, camping, or target practice. Everytime.

I used my BK crewman for 4 years hunting and any other outdoors use. Butchered alot of deer with it.

 and i mean everytime!! i've even thought of leaving one of my bk2's at my stand, but then again, a bear may realize what a helluva knife it is and i don't want the bear to have an even greater advantage.

I have not started hunting yet, but my BK9 goes on most outdoor trips with me. Last weekend I made a piggy back sheath for it and my Western 648 hunting knife (4" Long, slender, thin blade). Now IMO It's a perfect hunting/woods companion.

Pics or didn't happen.

BK11, often.
It's too long for public land (I know, right?), but when I'm on the club property I love having it with me. Haven't had the chance to wring it out yet, tho. :-(

To long for public land? Where do you live?? As far as I know there are no restrictions on Blade length when it comes to US Forest Service land. Unless of course your state or county has some silly law. The LEO's and Rangers I've asked have said "be responcible and don't conceal it and you'll be fine".

Ok, ya got me. I blew through that post one day, I don't think I even saw who posted it. My bad.

No worries! I've been known to do that too. Next spring when I renew my fishing license, I might get a combo License so I can start hinting. There are lots of Rabbits, squirrels and Chickmunks around here that look mighty taisty!

Rhode island. No provision for "appropriate use". 3" or less, period.
Outrageous.
There isn't a lot of federal land here, but plenty of state land open to hunting in my neighborhood.

Turns out they are made of meat! Kill 'em, chop 'em, cook em and eat 'em.

:D

My Magnum Camp has done its share of brier slaying and lots of butchering: deer, hogs, cattle, goat, fish, and more.

BK9 makes a pretty good meat cleaver too.

:D
