I voted yes, cause I think magnacut is a great steel option that I hope we see more of. Though I will say a lot of these steel options I think are probably providing better marketing strategy for knife companies than actual tangible benefits to the end user (it's a great way to get people to buy the same knife 5 times in different steels). That said, I just got my first shaman and I have to say I'm not loving it, or at least it's love/hate. It's a great solid feeling knife solid and has good weight without being too heavy, good blade shape, and I'm loving that part, but I'm not a fan of the handle/clip. For me the only really comfortable position is choked up using the choil. In the rearward position it just doesn't seem to fit in my hand securely. I think it's because the handles taper so much at the rear and for some reason the clip is very comfortable in that position and I don't normally notice the clip on my other knives when using them. I think I notice the clip more because the scales are so rounded compared to say a PM2/Manix2 taller/more square shape. I actually thought I must be crazy so I went through a ton of other knives I had and even after doing so, it was the worst offender. Though the Para 3 was a close second, I'm also not a fan of that one in the "rearward" handle position. It actually reminded me what a great knife the Manix 2 really is.
Not sure if it will be a catch and release or not, there are other scales options with a different shape and of course tons of different shape clip options but that stacks on at least another $100 to the price. Thankfully if it is I seem to be in the great minority so someone will be very happy with it.
