Is sitting at home right now wishing they were either on their way to ATL tomorrow or catching a flight early Friday? Man, I wish adulthood didn't bring with it all this "responsibility" stuff. It'd be great to meet a lot of the people I've been getting to know on this wonderful forum, and put faces to all the screen names.

I hope everyone heading to ATL has a safe, fun, and enjoyable trip. For the rest of us, I hope those Hogs that went post LOTS of pics.:thumbup::thumbup:

Me too. With three kids and a wifey it's going to cost a bundle to get there form So. Cali.

Some day!

So all you HOGS that will be there... Have a great time and get those stampede shoes on! ;)

No kids here, I'm headed out in 5 1/2 hours, WooHoo! :D

I could go; I'm on vacation. However, it just doesn't make financial sense. I've got a proxy who will try to buy a few Scrap Yard Mud Puppy LEs for me. Other than that, I'll see what's offered at the 'ganza.

I live close enough to Knob Creek that I attend them, and I spent quite a bit there on last month's CC bill; This month's already has over $2000 in knives on it. There were more more pre-Blade offerings with the Busse BADs / Skinny ASHs, and the Swamp Rat Hairy Carrys than I remember previously, so I'm pretty well tapped. One reason a 'ganza is more attractive than buying at Blade for me is that it won't hit the card until next month (and, of course, there's the price of gas to consider).

Sad part for me is it's only a 4 hr drive and I'm on vacation...but I can't walk very much atm so I'm SOL and heading to a weekend of drunken fishing on the lake

Yea I wish I could go but its a 12 hour drive. Instead I'm leaving Friday night and flying to London to start my 3 week backpacking trip around Europe....poor me.:D

The pathetic thing is that I'm a little sad I can't go to Blade.

No kids here either, but alas no money for knives either. BOoooh

Well Mikey, maybe you'll get some money from me sometime soon for some of that crazy leatherwork. ;):D

Definately wish I was going...but too much going on at work. Good luck to all you HOGS who'll be at the trough for the next two days.

By tonight we should be seeing pics of overstuffed and intoxicated hogs. Then we'll REALLY be wishing we were there.

I'd really like to go. I've been working on the wife for the last few years, mentioing it every time it comes around. This year she finally said, "yeah, it might be fun" so I'm wearing her down!

My problem is that I need to work it out so it is a vacation for both of us, I need to find some cool stuff to do there other than the show to make the trip from PA worthwhile (for her that is, I would be happy never leaving the conference center for three days). I've been to Atlanta twice for work related conferences but didn't get to see much (the Coke tour - lame, and the CNN tour - pretty cool). What else cool is there to do in the area?

3 kids, one of which just graduated from HS and wants to go to college. 17,000

Family vaca already planned for Disney World in Dec. 10,000

Sittin at home on Friday night of Blade on the computer wishing that I was there. Priceless:thumbdn:

10,000$ for Disney? Good lord, man. It's a damned shame that only "rich" people can afford to get in there these days. Guess it's a good thing Wifey's best friends both work for them.

This past year, we got into the food&wine festival at Epcot for free and spent what we would have spent on entrance eating ourselves around the world. Great time, but it could EASILY have been a 500$ day if we weren't careful. All of that money, and not even INFI to show for it. :grumpy:

If you decide to come South a bit more, let me know. I'll suggest some good restaurants. Actually, I can suggest some good ones in Orlando, too. Del Frisco's...mmmmmm One of my top three steaks ever there.

Oh, and stay away from traps like "Medievel Times" and "Arabian Knights." Also, if you're gonna hit one of those "buffets" that are advertised everywhere, make sure it's a reputable joint like a Golden Corral or a Ponderosa. The ones that say, "$3.99 All-U-Can-Eat" are usually horrible fare.

6 people for 2 weeks, before air ugh.............

Been saving for a year and paying on it through AAA.

I was supposed to be going to my Marine Co. reunion in Aug with the family in DC, instead, but I live in the Denver area and we are so fortunite to have all of these lovely Dems coming into town for a convention. Sooooooooo.........
long story short vaca got cancelled and on to plan B, Disney World.

Del Frisco's huh we are always on the look out for a good steak. I do belong to PETA after all. P.eople E.ating T.astey A.nimals

Leaving here in T-minus 4 hours and 49 minutes. 11 hours of driving... Off to bed!!

The wife saw me moping about missing Blade again and promised we'd make a vacation out of it next year. Until then I shall beat on the INFI and try to build up a tad bit of tolerance for the good stuff. Currently 2 beers kicks my butt. And that could be dangerous next year around all you HOGS.

What's everyone doing tonight?
