I want to get a Spyderco Delica SS PE engraved. Anyone recommend an engraver?
Would like to get it back before I die.
Anyone know places who SELL engraved knives?

Sorry. Meant elaborate engraving. Vine and oak leaf....maybe floral.. covering entire knife except blade.

Thanks, but now have a NEW problem. Not serious....well maybe...
see new thread on engraved knife.

I used to work at a trophy and engraving shop and did a lot of custom work.
DO NOT send your knife anywhere online!
Gun shops use very sophisticated and expensive machines designed for super hard barrel steel, so it would probably cost you a testicle.
Go to a trophy/award shop that does on-site engraving. They will probably make you sign a waiver and pay a nominal set-up fee, plus charge you per letter and font style. You will probably have to wait a week or two, depending on their workload.
If you want the blade engraved, I would reccomend Laser Surmarking. They apply a paste to the blade, wnd when the laser hits it, it chemically bonds to the blade and leaves a high contrast, permanent black, as opposed to the cuts that just engraving would leave. Plus, most blades are too hard to respond to a normal engraving cutter, and would most likely be refused. (handles are generally accepted).
Anyway, if you go to a reputable shop, they will probably give you the rundown and some examples. I hope i've been of help.
Good luck.
