As with most, in shopping for swords I want to get the most for my money, which means I want that sweet spot where price and quality meet. I have a couple of Paul Chen swords and several MR ones. The MR's always end up with things that come loose, or blades that are "whippy." Haven't had any problems with the Chen. (Someday I will break down and get a really quality user, just not right now. Maybe when I decide to sell a few of the medium ones.)

Where should I check for a good selection of Paul Chen?

Also, I'd really like a light, quick user saber, similar in style to the 1908 Indian Cavalry Saber. One I could sharpen and be certain it was ready to do battle. (Okay, so I have a Zorro fixation at the moment)

I've had a few Del Tins, Angus Trims, Chens and MRL's the quality of chens can be a bit dicy. Chens are mainly low mid end swords. Below are a couple of links worth consideration. I eventually sold off all of my Del Tins (early MRL's), Chens and invested in Albions. Can't say enough about Albion's swords and service it's definatly world class.

Angus Trim makes mid end swords that "are" designed for use. their a little rougher around the edges (fit and finnish wise) than albion's but they cut very well.

Christian Fletcher does not make swords but he customizes and makes scabbords for swords from both Angus Trim and Albion.

Albion makes mid to high end swords that again "are" designed for use.
