With the price drop, I might pick one up. I have a moto L7 slvr now, it plays music (mp3) and takes memory cards. I'v been a happy camper with her, BUT its snot a iphone. :D Also, I have no problem with the price of the phone or the plan upgrade. Played with one at at&t and don't mind thats its a tad larger than my L7 slvr.

I just want to know from a user, if they = all the hype?

How do they sound when you talk on them?

Is is hard to dial #'s?

Do the finger prints get annoying?

How fast is the internet when your not in a wi-fi hot spot?

Does BladeForums work just like on my laptop?

I heard the browser does not play windows media videos ?.........

All this said, any users have any words of wisdom for me? Well iphone wisdom.:D

Sorry for playing 21 questions, but I just gotsta know........................should we all run out a get one?

Much spanks,

He LOVES them, has not mentioned any faults, although he does carry a cloth with him to keep the screen clean. I don't know if he needs to clean it or just enjoys rubbing it. No joke, he is well pleased and is by all measures a computer geek (engineer) that enjoys his toys. AND he is enjoying his phone. Hope he gets the rebates. He was in line the day it was released.:D:D

I would say wait till they come free with the service plan and get all the bugs worked out.

As always---with the latest electronic gadgets there's always glitches---wait a year or so till they get cheap and work properly.

Take the $500 I just saved you and buy "a" or "some" nice knife/knives. Something that has real value and won't be obsolete in 6 months.

I have one. It was a birthday gift. I love mine - haven't had any problems with it although the EDGE network for data is a little slow. Now that the price has dropped it's not such a bad investment. If you want everything but the phone - including WiFi get the iTouch. Looks like it will be a great product.

If you are looking for a no-frills PDA with wifi capabilities, excellent web browsing, eBook reader, and can also make net calls with Skype, watch videos, and generally separate from your phone (for good reason: battery life, theft, damage):

Nokia 770, market price <$150!

Practically 1/3 the price of the iPhone, twice the screen display pixels, and a vast developer community. Runs linux.

Better than I thought!

U NEED 1 !!!! :D

Are Kidding?

I'd be on the phone too much, also while on the Tractor I'd fall off.:D

With the way I Post, I'd run that Battery down in no time.:D

I hear ya!!! I will let you know what the battery life is. I heard its good though, but we shall see.
;)

I have had one for about two weeks.

I am not an Apple fan, but I wanted internet access and the ability to get to my email through my phone.

I just could not warm up to a Blackberry, so the iPhone.

I have to say that I am impressed.

The battery life is as good as any cell phone if you are not constantly playing music.

You can charge it on any computer with a $6 line.

My daughter steals it evey chance she gets and can text like nobody's business on it.

It is intuitive. The touch screen interface is impressive (and I have big fingers!).

If you use iTunes, there is no need for a separate iPod.

I have loaded several hundred photos on it.

Pricy, yes. But it has exceeded my expectations.

Speaking of GPRS - does Safari works direct or thru resizing proxy (as mobile Opera does)?
No proxy, it's a full (well except for Flash) implementation of a desktop browser. Pretty decent browsing speeds on WiFi, if you go over EDGE then speeds are highly variable.
