Who has a knife/EDC case/man jewelry box?

I would assume, given the fact that a lot of knife-folk are also prone to fancy, depending on where their needs lie, tools, guns, watches... All sorts of things. I was looking at all kinds of things, emphasize looking, for example, Wise Men Co's Crates of Wrath (entirely unneeded for my purposes), and ended up finding a beautiful box in a color I was admiring.

Got it for seven dollars, and while it isn't the most amazing thing in the world, some TLC has/will set it right, I'm going to put red velvet or royal purple which I recently bought, as the base fabric in the bottom. I have the things on top that I grab the most, or that I want to grab more often, flashlight just got moved to my bag. Tried to sort of theme the boxes below roughly... First box is gentlemanly, nice, or small carries, ranging from the Douk-Douk to the Cricket, as some of these contradict, as the Buck 110 is not small, but is gentlemanly when nice and polished in my opinion, and is very nice. The Cricket is not exactly gentlemanly with that short reverse-S shape reminding me of a radish, but it's nice with it's all steel body and framelock, and small. The Chaparral, is all three.

Second box is my "007" box, I don't know, this was just kind of fun. I'm going to try carrying/cutting, and if I like it, dyeing burgundy, that 20CV Yo2 at some point. See what this 20CV/M390 craze is all about... speaking of, I don't know whether to put my Microtech UTX-70 in the first or second box... it's black, and "tactical", but it's so tiny and inoffensive... I don't know. Third box is TBD, but contains just random stuff right now.

I have a separate box that is more of a "collection", and am working on another for proper storage of my fixed blades.

Anyone else have a similar sort of thing to pick and choose what they want on the daily?
(The red case contains a beautiful, red/burgundy 14c28n Douk-Douk, should have taken it out)

I tend to go back and forth between displaying some of my favorite knives or keeping them put away. In the end though, I usually end up opting for some sort of storage to keep them from unnecessary dust and whatnot (especially since my current setup is an open floor-plan with my office area right next to the kitchen). Right now I'm just going with a repurposed Craftsman tool drawer, and plastic ammo boxes for the overflow (of course I also have knives stashed all around as well ;)).

I keep it tucked underneath my desk

Knives&Lint Knives&Lint First of all, sweet collection! At first, I was like, "Oh... that's a beautiful toolbox, but I'm not sure how it'll be as a knife-holder" but your photos proved that wrong, your displays look amazing and easy to access! But yes, I would like to say that there are also knives out and about in the house for use, like, I told my family to please grab the Mora 511 Basic for any and every task they could want a knife for, or a SAK perpetually on my living-room table, plus a knife I'm probably playing with at the time.

Speaking of your mention of keeping some nicer for display and dust-protection, as well as the earlier mention of PocketKnifeJimmy PocketKnifeJimmy and his amazing cases (which are most certainly not for EDC quick-grabbing!) I thought I would show my nicer "collection box". It's still rough and I'm not sure what I want in there (A plain Jade M4? I'm gonna dye it beautifully burgundy, but come on.... Higos a little bit random, too) and I still carry stuff in there, but I just keep some of my finer pieces there. It will be perfected, though, I recently had a bit of a remodel of rooms and re-organization of my knives. Intend to get a nice box for my fixed blades, too.

I have some put away, but mainly ones I don't know what to do with yet, like the Maxamet PM2 or ZDP Endura, and some other random knives, old cheapies, etc. but a few good ones like 10V Kizer Sheepdog, too. Just because I don't know what I want out of those yet.

Oh, also, putting my Higonokami and Rough Ryder Cotton sampler gave me an idea for the random third drawer and currently empty fourth drawer - keep no. 1 gent-small themed, but remove Higonokami(s, from both cases), K55 Mercator, and Douk-Douks, giving these their own shelf, that will be for "classic designs". Buck 110 may go too, though that's a hundred years later than the K55. Too bad the Opinel and MAM is too thick to go in there.

The empty, unseen shelf will be for slipjoints - nice slipjoints that I intend to buy, starting with my purple corleon Case Toothpick and my Rough Ryder Cotton Sampler. Really wanting to try a carbon steel Case with a less extreme blade profile (but meh, Case), carbon steel Rough Ryder, a Sodbuster, Buck 451(?, their American 3-blade slippie) and a GEC, eventually, hopefully! I wanna like/carry more traditional slipjoints, but I don't have a lot of good'uns.

Nothing fancy, but I like having a separate compartment for each knife: SRIWATANA Sunglasses Organizer for Women Men, 6 Slot Eyeglass Box Wood Case Glass Display Storage
Also: Siveit 8 Slot Sunglass Organizer Leather Eyeglasses Collector Eyewear Display Case Storage Box

I like to make Japanese-style toolboxes for stuff like that. Here's one in reclaimed pine and one in white oak:

They've got a sliding top locked with a wooden wedge:

And you can flip the top upside down (and wedge it in place) for a work surface or a display surface.

Whoa, that is absolutely lovely! Definitely a goal of mine, to create something of this sort! Very nice.

Just one little box for wristwatches that sits on a bookcase with my small collection of Frye shoes, boots, and boot brushes. What few knives I own just hang out in the upstairs work room with various other projects.
