I am infatuated by both of these, particularly the gunstock. I'd love to hear from owners of these about their impressions of these knives as users and for edc.

I have both the Gunstock in Carved bone stag, D-2 and the MM in D-2 &1095. For EDC the gunstock is more to my liking, not bad in the pocket & the steel will almost always get me through the day without having to touch up. A little larger than a medium stockman which is good sometimes. But mostly I just like the pattern.
The MM is a much bigger handfull & I don't carry it in my pocket but put it in a sheath. But they are great camp knives. I don't use a belt sheath on a daily basis, but when I know I'm going to need a larger dependable knife the MM goes with.

I'm curious as to how the S&M gunstock goes in the pocket. It's big at 4 1/4 inches.Nice knife though

I have the Mountain Man and really like it. I agree with Knowtracks above it is a good sized knife and I carry mine in a sheath that slides onto my belt when I am camping. I am totally satisfied with the knife. Here is a picture of mine I have had it on here many times so some of the guys are probably tired of seeing it. anyway here ya go.

I have both - MM in CSB, gunstock in amber bone. Both are great users, but the MM is a bit large for me to carry edc. The gunstock works well in that role.

You can see it next to other familiar models in this roundup of Queen models:

Oh man with all these pictures Foilist might get the tremors and spit up. Easy does it guys.

The MM is a large knife. It handles about the same as a Buck 110, but it's considerably lighter. I have an S&M, not a Queen, but they're excruciatingly similar.

The only GS I have is a S&M F&W series, which is a single blade with a kind of odd geometry. Nice pocketable knife, but I don't carry it much.

Foilist...

I have the gunstock....actually the Northwoods D2 gunstock assembled by Queen...its a beauty. For that matter the Schatt & Morgan gusntock is another knife I really like. (Haven't met many that I haven't lately!)

You guys are killing me! Of course, I knew this would happen if I started a thread like this.

I really like the gunstock, although I have read that Queen's D2 blades come with mediocre edges. It's really helpful to see the gunstock compared to the others for size. The mountain man looks great too, but is probably large enough that I wouldn't use it as much as I should.

Thank you for asking this, I have been curious about these models myself. I have been looking at the Mountian Man in D2.

Now which scales are more suitable for use and carry?
(Both on the Gunstock and MM)

I have two Mountain Men (Mountain Mans?), the stag-handled one in 1095 and a jigged bone with D2 steel. I love them both. They are well made and feel good in the hand. I have not seen the Mountain Man side-by-side with a Buck 110 but when I was looking at buying my first one I compared length specs I found online. It looked like the MM was a little smaller than the Buck 110 and a little bigger than the Buck 112.

The Gunstock I like is the Stockman like this photo from Cumberland knifeworks.I'll be in touch with them soon. The extra pin on the scale tips it for me.
