I have the hand axe and the magnum hand axe. I just recently purchased them so I don't have a lot of time on them, but so far I like them. They are pretty good quality and they chop well for their size. I don't know about the factory edge because I got Ben's special grade, which includes working on the factory edge. The handles were nice with good grain orientation. One thing that surprised me with the two I got was that the handle shape was triangular with rounded corners. The thickness of the handle was matched to the weight of the head, so the hand axe has a fairly light handle and the magnum hand axe is noticeably thicker in both directions. Handle to head fit was excellent. I think the real questions are whether I would buy another Rinaldi and whether I would recommend one to someone else. The answer to both questions is yes.
