Who Has a Stainless Delica? Have You Done Anything to Improve it's Grip?

I have a couple of stainless Delicas and the stainless handles are slick. (I'm going to replace them with the plastic version next time.) I'm going to put some rubber stair tape on the sides to improve the grip.

Has anyone tried other ideas? If I were an experienced machinists, I would probably mill some grooves into the scales.

I gotta say, I've never had any grip issues with Spyderco's all stainless models. And I even used a Police model as my primary knife on a charter boat at one point.
