just grabbed one, i read what i could find which wasn't all that much. threads out there state thin steel, huge handles that are hard to grip. all in all decent machete for the price point, etc.

anyone have and use there's? how is the handle, is it so big it's hard to get a good grip on it? is that steel that thin? appears it's 2mm as where most of the other machetes from cold steel are 2.8mm. that shouldn't make that much of a difference i wouldn't think? other than better geometry to cut though things easier...not counting huge logs or other task too much for any thinner machete. i think this design looks darn useful for thinner chopping with sweaty hands and such. appreciate any feedback firsthand or second hand. thanks.

I used mine to take down part of a bush in my backyard, I didn't have any issues gripping it. It is thin, but that was fine for my task.

right on, thanks for the feedback, greatly appreciated.

i love my spartan with the kopis style handle, so i'm expecting i'm gonna love this one too for bigger tasks.
