Who has BOTH sizes of Ritter/grips?

I had both and ended up getting rid of them. The full size was my favorite EDC, the blade was excellent, fit my hand like a glove, and carried well in my pocket. I ended up selling it because the size of the blade wasn't too sheeple friendly..plus local municipalities frown on blade lengths over 3". The mini was a sweet knife as well, it just didn't fit my hand well and replaced it with the HK14210.
IMO the full size is the one too get, just a nicer fit in the hand:thumbup:

I carry Minis off duty for day to day use, but will take a full sized Grip if I am going camping.
On duty I carry a full sized Grip in a belt pouch on my uniform belt and another in my firejacket. In the winter I will sometimes carry a Mini on my uniform belt because I am less likely to be on a fireground separated from my firejacket, where my full sized lives.

In summary..my Minis and full sized see about the same amount of carry.

I've got the full-size Ritter Grip in S30V, and the Mini in M2, and the full-size is definitely the one that gets carried more. Part of this is because corrosion resistance is something I value in a knife, often before edge retention, but mostly it's because the full-size is just a better size for me. Not only does it fit my hand better, giving my fingers all plenty of room, but for some reason I almost feel naked if my pocket isn't filled by some full-size folder. That's not to say, though, that the Mini doesn't have its days.

I have both RSKs in stonewashed and black. The black blade mini-RSK is as sharp as any knife I have. That was my EDC until I got my Caly 3. I like the RSK's blade profile slightly better than the Caly 3 for my cutting, but I can't get a comfortable hold on the handle. It's about 1/4" too short. The Caly 3 is a better total package for me to hold, carry, and use than the mini-Grips.

Of the Grips and minis I have, the minis have seen more carry time overall. These are great knives. I have nothing but praise for the full-sized Ritters. They are tough, light, and comfortable to use. BM just cut the minis too short for me by 1/4".

I have both large and small Ritter grips. I go back and forth carrying either size for EDC. Lately I've been EDC carrying the large but only for mess kit. Daily, I carry 1 'dirty' knife for real work, and 1 'clean' knife for food, and 1 SAK for loaning to non-knife people.

Prefer the mini for most uses, partly because of size and partly because it feels more solid (it isn't - it's just got a more liner relative to the scales than the large).

I have the mini, the regular fullsize, the fullsize in M2, and the fixed blade.

I EDC the mini, so it is with me every day, excpept when camping, so its been carried the most.

The regular fullsize is on my pocket when camping. I like the feel of the fullsize much better than the mini, but the mini rides in my pocket better. When camping the fixed blade is in my daypack. Lately the fixed Rittergrip gets used more than the fullsize folder, but only because I enjoy using it. I wouldn't leave the folder behind.

The fullsize in M2 stays home. Yeah, I know I should use it and enjoy it, but its the closest thing I have to a collector knife.

I also have Doug Ritter's Gentleman's knife. It goes with me when I wear a suit, which is very rarely. Thank goodness! I consider that a collector knife too - whether it is or not.

I have both the Ritters in M2. I prefer the mini. I also edc the mini 557 (tanto). Not a big fan of the tanto blade but you can't go wrong with the mini unless you have huge mitts.

I have both. Got the full size first. Loved it, and still do. But for daily carry in urban environments, I grab the mini. The full is too big for clipped pocket carry. Indeed, I took the clip off of mine and it rides in pocket when I carry it. The mini is a great compromise of utility, comfort in hand AND comfort clipped in pocket.

Full size model. I have a large micarta Sebenza, Strider SMF and SNG, and a Spyderco Military. When I am off on a short hike, maybe 3 miles, I go for my large Ritter Grip. I had all three models, the large, mini and fixed blade. The large is the only one I have now. I can't bring myself to own any knives that will sit in my case. I just found myself reaching for the large most of the time compared to the small.

I have several of both (9 'grips total) and I almost never carry the full-size versions. I love the minis. The full size is too big for EDC in my opinion.
