Who has great classes for stock removal knife making.

If you can come up to the SVKC show in Harrisonburg this coming Friday/Saturday I'll introduce you to a bunch of makers in the VA area. Many are members of the Central Virginia Blacksmith Guild. There are a lot of knifemakers in the Guild, and many offer classes. Attending one of their meetings would be a very good idea. They meet and hour or two west of you. Look them up - CVBG. Regular monthly meetings are at 2748 Dogtown Rd, Goochland, VA 23063. Other meetings are at members forges and shops throuought the year.

The Tidewater Blacksmith Guild is pretty much the same. Good folks there, too. They just had an event in Yorktown two weeks ago. Another group well worth visiting.

There are some local makers who offer private instruction. I'll ask David Catoe if he is taking students again (he was primarily forging, but an excellent stock removal guy, too).
Other names are Charles Vestal (Major stock removal guy)
James Anderson

Hopefully, I will get the last phase of the new shop done this summer/fall and be in the position to take students again next year.

I will message you, Stacy. I think I can do it. Let me ask the boss but I think I can make it.

That is a great idea and one I will take to heart.
