Just curious as to how many people have heard of this maker and might have some of his knives? I met this man last year at the St. Louis Heart of America show. I believe he is from Australia, but not sure. What I am sure of is that his work is as good as it gets. I dont currently own any of his knives, but someday that may change. I am only bringing this up now since I noticed at least one of his knives pictured in the Knives 2001 annual. Check out the pic; I dont remember which page, but you can tell from the picture that he knows what he is doing. I look for this guy to climb the ranks quickly.

Danbo, Peter Delraso is one of Australia's finest knifemakers.The fit and finish and overall design of his knives is outstanding.I own one of his small integral daggers .He attends just about every show here in Aus. His email is delraso@optusnet.com.au

Its a nice small knife only show. Half the room is custom makers and the other half is usually people like me selling parts of their collections, so that they can buy new toys. The show is twice a year, usually the end of may/beginning June and December. Hope to see you there next time! Tom Carey usually makes these shows, when he is not sleeping or working.

G'day Danbo, I remember you, you were the American guy {just kidding}
Thanks for the glowing praise.I am selling more and more knives to US buyers. I hope to set up a site at unitedbladeworxs in the next couple of months. Hope you see something you like. Regards Peter.

peter is a great guy .. and produces some fine fine work.
and also .. he doesnt seem to mind when you keep pestering him on and on at the knife shows :D

i know that there have been a few times i heard of people on here owning a Del Raso blade ... so i am sure that these fine works are making their way out into the wide world to be wondered at.

Good to see you here Peter! So, when are you planning on coming back to the States? Maybe Atlanta for the Blade show? Maybe the St. Louis Heart of America show again in May?

Peter, it's so good to find out that you are still alive. After all of that coverage that you got in Knives 2001, I figured that you would be rich and retired by now. I really am interested in having you make me another little toy. The last one is nearly worn out from me letting people finger it. I did manage to pick up one of your all steel neck knives on the secondary market. Even though I didn't think much of neck knives in general when you offered me one in St. Charles, I am now a convert. If anyone has any of Peter's masterpieces for sale, cut out the middleman (Danbo) and just sell them to me. He is making too much money selling bowies already. Roy Carey Jr.:)

G'day Roy, Maaaaaate! It has been a long time. I haven't got any better at using this contraption, but I can now type up to 5 words a minute. Hi to every one else that posted a message. Dion your'e biased, and its good to see you without those bludy sunglasses. Dan,I would like to make it back to the states in the next couple of years, maybe the East coast. Hopefully I will be able to drag some other Aussies with me.Roy you will probably remember Bruce Crawley. Bruce has been crook (ill) and had half a lung removed. He's doing fine now and is even grinding a little. Great hearing from you again, Peter.

hey! whats wrong with my shades???
i needed some kind of defense against the *gasp* ..general public.
:D

besides .. i wasnt allowed to have my pic taken with my shades on .. my wife wouldnt let me. :rolleyes:

Peter, sorry to hear about Bruce's problem. Does that mean his tall tales are only half as tall now and his BS only half as deep? Good to hear that he has his steel back on the wheel. He is a bloke that doesn't get the attention that he deserves here in the states. Roy Carey Jr.:(
