I was given this knife by a good friend,it was found under the back seat of a car, that was to be scraped.

Sorry, did somthing wrong.Cant get pics up yet, need more practice.Anyway its a medium stockman, jigged delrin and it says Wiss on the blade and has a eagle shield that also says Wiss.

Can't see pics, can you repost? I host most of my images on Facebook, others use Image Shack a lot.

I have found a few Schrades in old cars going to the scrapper. Just think how many end up part of the frame :(.

That's a great looking stockman and someone certainly lost a great knife. That's not a Boker, I'm not sure what the make is. It looks like a spread eagle shield instead of a tree.

The logo on the blade and on the shield says "Wiss" -

Definitely a Boker mate.
They did that style jigging of the delrin, and even the shield is reminiscent of their round treebrand shield.

I can't say for certain because I know I've been wrong before but I still agree with Vanguard. Not a Boker itself but a Boker made for Wiss. I have a Boker that's a dead ringer for it. I do know for sure that Boker USA did make knives for Wiss.

I stand corrected and am sorry for being a dumb ass. You learn something everyday. So is it a Wiss made by Boker or a Boker made by Wiss and is there a time frame for that?

Ben, if your a dumb ass which I certainly don't think you are, but then I'm a dumb ass too:p And i think I'd say it's a Boker knife made for Wiss:thumbup:

Interesting. At first glance I thought it would be an Ulster...

With a bit of light cleaning this will make a very decent cary.

I looked it up ,some fellow named Mr Wiss owned Boker USA,in the mid to late 70s.He had them made up in his plant.
