I have about 40 knives now, and I just got the paper wheels. I now have most of them shaving sharp, because it is so fast and easy to do. Oh, the hair on my left arm is now almost completely removed from testing.....
"Paper wheels" are actual wheels that are used on a grinder. I'll try to find you a link. :thumbup:I never heard of the "paper wheels" what company makes that sharpener?
Curious if anyone is as silly as I am...I have over a 100 knives and no knife sharpener. Why you ask? Cause I always feel like I am going to mess up the blade if I try to sharpen it so I have as yet to take the plunge.
Get a Sharpmaker from Spyderco. It is about as idiot proof as they come. It is a very nice sharpener.
You should instead, view your knives that have lost their edge as "messed up", and take some of the good advice you've been given in this thread to get yourself a sharpening system. Have some fun with it. You'll feel proud when you've learned to restore a sharp edge to a dull knife.Curious if anyone is as silly as I am...I have over a 100 knives and no knife sharpener.
