Hello All,

Thought this would a fun pace... and perhaps with all the experts here we may even learn from one another. So below I swiped a definition for this post.... In my simple terms I think here we have what was once a knife, definitely no more, but none the less very valuable each of us who holds one because of the historical significance.

I am a Huge NYKC enthusiast so I will start with this one. As far as I am concerned it might as well have been the 1st knife the company produced in 1856. The probability although very high will likely never be confirmed but perhaps with blades like this we may get closer to the origins of our favorites. BTW, perhaps I should lubricate the blades, action is a bit stiff:D Lets have some fun...... Lets play.... and see what we might learn from each other.

Something which was made or used a long time ago and which is kept for its historical significance.
...a museum of war relics.

that is very interesting. I have nothing to show but will check back to see what others might come up with

TinyDog this thread is a great idea. Should be some very interesting knives displayed here. I also am without a contribution but will keep an eye on this. Thank you.

Well, once a year I have Charlie near by, and...

Oh, wait: knives.

:D

I look forward to seeing what you and others have to share.

[Also I need more emoticons at hand.... Imagine a "Thumbs up" here.]

Of course not my relics, but I have always been amazed by this since I read about it in a Knives Digest many years ago. Ka-Bar knives used as fill under concrete sidewalks and buildings!!!!!!

Wolfgang, That is a very neat story I have never heard before. The fact that they did the dig and found them is really cool. Yes thanks for sharing that!

I don't have a single relic but this thread has so much potential for awesome content I had to BUMP it this one time.

These were never buried:eek:, but they were rescued from various boxes of "trash"!
